Congregation Beth Sholom Religious School

Congregation Beth Sholom's religious school meets Sunday mornings and is open to area students, in Pre-K to 8th grade.

The curriculum includes Jewish religious holidays and traditions, Torah study and Hebrew. Elementary and middle school aged classes are led by professional teachers with years of Judaic studies and Hebrew lesson experience and students are encouraged to work toward achieving Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Children age 3 – 5 participate in the Ganeinu program which meets twice monthly. Children are introduced to Jewish holidays and traditions as well as Hebrew letters and basic vocabulary. The students begin to explore God and the relevance to their world in a fun, creative, active setting.

The Congregation Beth Sholom's religious school is not only focused on creating access to the children's faith but to helping them foster their own strong Jewish community.

Scholarships are available and the school is open to non-members.

UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATING THE SABBATH SERVICE

Start the New Year off right with our two workshops.

On Mon. Jan. 9th at 7 pm we will have a class on the various forms of the Kaddish and the structure of the Amidah including when and how we bow during services.

On Mon. Jan 23rd we will have a hands-on class on the Torah service to become acquainted with what is happening on the bimah during this part of the service.

Both classes will make attending services a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
