About Us

Congregation Beth Sholom is a diverse and dynamic Rabbi-led congregation that is warm and welcoming.

Our services are a mix of Reform and Conservative liturgy, thereby welcoming all Jews to feel comfortable in our Temple and at our Services.

We welcome Shabbat with a blend of both modern and traditional customs, allowing all Jews to feel comfortable in our Temple and at our Services.

In the late 1940s and early 1950s, twelve Jewish Leesburg merchants and their families met at each other’s home for Friday night Sabbath Services.

Today, Congregation Beth Sholom is the legacy they established for families to practice and enjoy Jewish life and tradition.

FAMILY is the cornerstone and rock of our Congregation. Whether related by genealogy, heritage or spirit, we are the congregation that feels like family, because members respect and support one another's involvement in Jewish tradition.

We invite you to enjoy our religious services and events as a guest with the hope you will join as a member to surround yourself with the warmth and comfort members experience.

For more than 50 years, Congregation Beth Sholom has been a place for Lake County area Jews to worship, learn, share, and grow. It offers the best of two worlds as the young join with the more senior to create an atmosphere of warmth and caring. All are welcomed into the congregational family with the knowledge that Congregation Beth Sholom will help to nourish the spirit and bring peace and fulfillment.

Our spiritual leadership is dedicated to creating an environment where we celebrate our beliefs and explore our heritage, while maintaining Jewish values, ethics and traditions.

All members of the congregation family are encourage to take an active part in Temple life and we offer many different opportunities to pursue respective interests.
